The following qemu-provided package causes an assertion failure when run.
http://www.qemu.org/sh-test-0.2.tar.bz2

The current version provided for Intrepid is 0.9.1.
I have compiled version 0.11.0-rc2 and this works fine.

$ qemu-system-sh4 -M r2d -kernel zImage -hda sh-linux-mini.img
long write to <unknown reg> (0x1e2001c0) not supported
qemu-system-sh4: /build/buildd/qemu-0.9.1/hw/sh7750.c:383: sh7750_mem_writel: Assertion `0' failed.
