Also, can you please post the output of these two command entered into a
terminal/shell window?

ls -alh /var/lib/dpkg/info/mythtv-frontend.postrm
cat /var/lib/dpkg/info/mythtv-frontend.postrm

Lastly, is this an English language distribution of Ubuntu?  Seems like
it, but I have to ask because we've gotten a sudden surge in non-english
install failures.
