Wow, that's definitely quite an attempt to nag... I have no hesitation
to remove it; I think your first method of removing the contents of the
checkForDonationPopup method will be the more appropriate method.

Would you like to do the honors of preparing a debdiff for that which I
could sponsor into Karmic (We'll handle Jaunty as a SRU when Karmic is
fixed)?

If not I'd be happy to do it too.
