Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: postgresql-8.3
package postgresql-8.3 8.3.8-0ubuntu9.04 failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
The automatic security upgrade failed to be installed.
I got some sudo confirm password popup screens 2 or 3 password was already confirmed so this was odd. I don't really know if that was related to the package that failed to install or some of the other package. Olso one popup dialog reported the postgresql failure and a line with bullet saying the server failed to start.
I expected the automatic security upgrade to install with no failures. I
do not know what uses psql on my system, if anything. So this may have
been a latent problem on my system, I can do some testing if I get hint
of what to look for.
