One more thing: could you please reconfirm where you are pulling myth
updates from?  Is it the PPA at

http://ppa.launchpad.net/mythbuntu/trunk-0.22/ubuntu

or some place else?  Synaptic or /etc/apt/sources.list should be able
to let you know.
In order for the symbols to be present, it needs to be the above PPA.
