Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gconf
Because suspend/hibernate does not work on my laptop (and cause a lot of
trouble), I tried to disable them using the 'can_hibernate' and
'can_suspend' keys in gconf. Unfortunately this does not work! I still
can select 'suspend' and 'hibernate' within the 'indicator-applet-
session' and the power-management settings. I've set the keys as
mandatory but that didn't help. I've also rebooted the system after
making changes. The gconftool shows:
can_hibernate = false
can_suspend = false
but obviously these settings are not respected. I've attached the output
of 'gconftool-2 -R /apps/gnome-power-manager'.
