I have the same problem using HP HDX 16 and Karmic Koala.

bug-suspend-thermal-info/m-p/221287 but I have no answer from HP.

I'm pretty sure this is a BIOS related bug. This happened with dv5 model
and it was solved by HP with a BIOS upgrade as you can see here:
