** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: audacity

I have now tried Audacity 1.3.10-1 under Lucid. I notice that the ALSA
device enumeration is not functioning properly. My list shows:

  Playback:

  ALSA: ESI Juli@: ICE1724 IEC958 (hw:0,1)
- ALSA: HDA ATI SB: ALC888 IEC958 (hw:1,1)
+ ALSA: HDA ATI SB: ALC888 Digital (hw:1,1)
  ALSA: spdif
  ALSA: iec958
  ALSA: pulse
  ALSA: default

  Recording:

  ALSA: ESI Juli@: ICE1724 IEC958 (hw:0,1)
- ALSA: HDA ATI SB: ALC888 Digital IEC958 (hw:1,1)
- ALSA: HDA ATI SB: ALC888 Analog IEC958 (hw:1,2)
+ ALSA: HDA ATI SB: ALC888 Digital (hw:1,1)
+ ALSA: HDA ATI SB: ALC888 Analog (hw:1,2)
  ALSA: pulse
  ALSA: default

In essence, it seems like all hw:x,0 are gone!

In addition, when I try to open up the selection listbox, the following
line is added to the terminal:

  Expression 'stream->capture.pcm' failed in
  'src/hostapi/alsa/pa_linux_alsa.c', line: 3653
