i have the same error message in blender - Fedora 12     with kernel
2.6.31.9-174.fc12.i686.

blender
Compiled with Python version 2.6.2.
Checking for installed Python... got it!
blender.bin: radeon_cs_gem.c:121: cs_gem_write_reloc: Assertion `bo->space_accounted' failed.
/usr/bin/blender: Zeile 92: 10122 Abgebrochen             (Speicherabzug geschrieben) /usr/bin/${blend}.bin $@
 

Blender starts but many buttons does not work. And then it was crashing.
