[Bug 504549] [NEW] offlineimap with gmail: new label is not created in gmail

Binary package hint: offlineimap

I use offlineimap 6.2.0 to sync my GMail account.
I am using a maildir-enhanced alpine to read my maildir mail. 
When I create a new folder from alpine, it usually becomes a new Gmail label. But some folders are not becoming labels. 
The output of offlineimap does not even list them.
Why?? What can I look for to debug this?
