Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnubg
Version of Ubuntu = Ubuntu 9.10 (AMD 64)
Version of gnubg = 0.90-3
Version of gnubg-data = 0.90-3
When using the 'Random.org' internet site as the random number generator
(selectable within GNUBG > Settings > Options > Dice) it only gives the
dice rolls of 1 or 2 or 3 (ie. neither you nor the gnubg ever roll a 4
or 5 or 6 during a game).
All other random number generators available in gnubg are fine.
Have tried removing and re-installing both gnubg and gnubg-data several
times.
I have also run a query at Random.org, putting the random dice rolls
that it produced into a text file and then using this as input to gnubg.
This gave all numbers in dice rolls (ie. you get dice rolls of 1,2,3,4,5
or 6 in a random order, as you'd expect), so Random.org seems to be
working okay.
** Affects: gnubg (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
