Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vlc

Description:	Ubuntu 9.10
Release:	9.10

vlc:
  Installed: 1.0.2-1ubuntu2
  Candidate: 1.0.2-1ubuntu2.1
  Version table:
     1.0.2-1ubuntu2.1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/universe Packages
 *** 1.0.2-1ubuntu2 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

-
clicking on full screen should open up full-screen mode.

instead it crashes (looks like a segfault) - no message, just crashes.
I've identified what stops it from crashing; the problem occurs if a window is maximized and then I try to maximize vlcplayer. If i minimize the windows and then full-screen vlc it works fine, no problems. just an fyi.
