the mythtv-status issue is a different one.  There's some bugs filed on
that already.  You can enable -testing from the autobuilds (see MCC to
turn it on if you need) to fix that.

So as for your error here, did you manually go purging in /etc at some
point?

You're missing a conffile that the postinst expects to continue:

Setting up mythtv-database (0.22.0+fixes22594-0ubuntu1) ...
sed: can't read /etc/mysql/conf.d/mythtv.cnf: No such file or directory
