Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: maxima

I reported this bug upstream:
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2938078&group_id=4933&atid=104933

However, I am also reporting it here since this crash may have been
introduced by ubuntu patches since version 5.17.1-1 (amd64/debian) works
fine and version 5.17.1-1ubuntu1 (amd64/ubuntu) crashes.

The following command generates a segfault in ubuntu, but not in debian (with the same upstream version number).
$ maxima < maxima.input > /dev/null
zsh: segmentation fault  maxima < maxima.input > /dev/null

This same input fails with a different error on version 5.20.1-3 in
debian sid (amd64). Not sure if it is related (perhaps the offending
patch made its way upstream?) or a different problem.

Thanks!
