thx but I found another work around in that page replaced the line that
says:
 
widget_name = widget.get_name()

with:


widget_name = gtk.Buildable.get_name(widget)

at line 180 of /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gpodder/gtkui/base.py 
and that fixed it :) 
so I'm sweet
