Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ximp3
Hello, I hadn't noticed any other distributions that use this
application however, I've been using it for the last 7 years. What I
like about ximp3 is it's simplicity. That said, it is still missing
several useful features which I've been using for some time but haven't
really had the forum to share. Maybe other people would find these
features/fixes useful. The original application author was not
interested in making any further changes.
ximp3-0.1.15-alpha.patch
Compile patch for the Linux Alpha architecture
ximp3-0.1.15-alsa.patch
Adds ALSA support, default is OSS (/dev/dsp) to use ALSA, use the option: -d alsa
ximp3-0.1.15-mp3-find.patch
Specify a directory as well as file names and ximp3 will play all mp3 files it finds in the specified directory/directories
ximp3-0.1.15-ppc.patch
Compile patch for the Linux PowerPC architecture
ximp3-0.1.15-quiet.patch
Adds the -q and -k options, -q runs quietly, no output and in the background, while -k kills any running ximp3 processes
ximp3-0.1.15-x86_64.patch
Compile patch for the Linux x86_64 architecture
The only other item I'd like to see fixed is playback of recent mp3's
from vendors like Amazon.com. ximp3 uses the xing decoder which zinf
uses as well without the same issues. To fix this issue I just re-encode
using lame.
** Affects: ximp3 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
