[Bug 514885] [NEW] MD5deep crashes when comparing sums

Binary package hint: md5deep

Ubuntu/9.10, md5deep 3.3-1 (newest) from karmic/universe

Expected md5deep to print mismatching files/md5sums to STDOUT

Instead it crashed immediately after invoking it with the following message:
md5deep: Null values passed into is_known_hash
md5deep: Internal error. Contact developer!

This bug can be reproduced following these steps:
1. Open a new terminal
2. cd to a directory with a couple of files
3. md5deep -lrk * | tee ../sums.md5
4. md5deep -rnx ../sums.md5 *
