  * Improved the backward compatibility:
    - Restored the PrimitiveSink.putString(CharSequence) interface method
      and its implementations (removed in Guava 16)
    - Restored the Funnels.stringFunnel() method (removed in Guava 16)
    - Restored the HashFunction.hashString(CharSequence) interface method
      and its implementations (removed in Guava 16)
