I cannot boot up any longer

                                        Hi,
    
    Yesterday, I updated my nvidia driver and did a few other xfce updates and now, I cannot boot up. At boot time, I get the following message: "/bin/sh:can't access tty; job control turned off"
    How should I fix this.
