Alpha announcements on Xubuntu.org?

Hi,

With the release of Alpha 1 of Xubuntu 8.04 there has been no message on the
website (to be honest, I forgot).

However, I was thinking: should we place those announcements on the website?
Ubuntu does not. I think people interested in using those releases will know
by now that it has been released.

Of course, it would still be possible to post a message when e.g. there's a
pressing need for testers or something.

PS. How come they're called "alpha" all of a sudden? Were Tribe, Herd, etc.
too confusing? :)
