Simon, since this comparison was made in order to decide which application would be part of Karmic, I think you should have tried Thunderbird 3 (beta). There isn't any release date yet, but I guess that it will be ready for September. On a side note, why Xubuntu has not merged Thunderbird with Lightning, like Ubuntu? Thanks, Michele
