It's the "places-plugin"! It doesn't call the "exo-filemanager" but
always Thunar.

I have downloaded the newer (Quantal-)version. After installing the
places-Plugin opens PCManFM when I tell xfce that this is my favorite
file manager.

So if someone wants to use the places-plugin with another file
manager: goto

ftp://ftp.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/x/xfce4-places-plugin/  

and download version 1.3.0
