[xubuntu-users] Need advice re abiword vs. libreoffice

I tried LibreOffice (out of curiousity) and found it wanting. It couldn't 
render symbol fonts from docs I previously created in OpenOffice. In OO, I 
can also do --> and it draws an arrow, something I do a lot in math class. 
LibreOffice didn't do that either. I uninstalled it fairly quickly and stuck 
with OpenOffice, which is much more capable in many respects. A comparison 
of the options menu between the two is like night and day.
