[xubuntu-users] What is the recommended way to update to 13:04 from 12:10

Well I have just upgraded via Software manager and I am still here. 
Everything seems to be working but only time will tell. I may well 
install fresh on the next version as I believe that that is supposed to 
be a bit of a step forward as opposed to this release which was 
described as a maintenance fix.
