I second your two cents. I don't use Chrome much either, and if behaved 
for me as it did for you, I'd can it. Firefox works, that's about as far 
as it needs to go for me. This discussion made me curious, so I checked 
it out since I already had it installed and use it every now and then 
(like when I want to be sure the coding for a few web sites I maintain 
is rendering the same in across *nix browsers; I also have Web, Midori 
and Opera installed for that reason). I'm just curious as to why I'm not 
having the problem with Chrome which others are having. If I knew, I 
would contribute the reason, but I don't know, so I just thought I would 
report that it works for me - perhaps giving the hope that the problem 
can be corrected. I like Xubuntu enough that I'd can Firefox if Chrome 
did not work with it. (That's the two cents of an old Blue Ridge 
Mountains hillbilly who likes things as simple as they can be.)
