Hello people,
due to various messages having an unwanted negativity, I would like you
all to recheck your attitude. Remember, the list is Code of Conduct [1]
compliant at all times, and if you don't agree with that, you should not
post to the list.
Getting some facts right: While it is true that it is more sensible to
bottom post (write your message below the previous messages when
replying) in the long run, the CoC does not prohibit top-posting.
We do welcome discussions about non-default applications, hardware and
other issues that might be of interest to other list subscribers.
However, the main topic for this list is Xubuntu user support, and
people discussing other areas might want to think twice how deeply they
should go with the issues mentioned.
Any comments about others doing something "wrong" are unwanted on the
list; if you really think moderator intervention is needed, send a mail
to the list administrators [2].
Please understand that negative behavior and comments are per se
breaching the CoC more than being offtopic. No unwanted activity will go
unnoticed and repeating such behavior will lead to actions, namely
banning any further mails to the list.
Finally, be civil to each other. If you don't think you can bring
anything new and/or constructive to the discussion, please reconsider if
you should send a mail.
On behalf of the mailing list moderators,
Pasi Lallinaho
