Is the DM you're using lightdm?

Comment out the autologin line

/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

#autologin-user=

or leave it blank

autologin-user=

I don't know how fast you can type and how slow your Internet
connection is, a startpage search for 'lightdm disable auto login' here
takes just a few seconds:

Perhaps you prefer the autologin-user-timeout option.
