[xubuntu-users] xubuntu 14.04 beta testing, has the panel at the bottom of the screen been removed officially?

Greetings,

I installed the 14.04 beta 1 on a couple of systems / HW configurations and notice the panel at the bottom of the screen, which to me looks like OS X's Launchpad, seems to have been removed from the 
default configuration.

Is this the case, or is it a mistake that a clean / default installation does not put a panel at the bottom of the screen? Thank you.
