[xubuntu-users] Where is gphoto2:// exactly?

When I connect my Motorola Moto e to my xubuntu system the pictures
are automounted and thunar can see them in:-

    gphoto2://[usb:002,003]/store_00010001/DCIM/Camera/

However there's no mounted file system with these files in and I don't
seem to be able to navigate to them from the command line.  How can I
get to them from the command line, I find it much more convenient than
thunar most of the time.
