Could you provide any evidence for this claim? I'm using a SSD myself,
without changing my work-flow. For what I'm doing I can't use suspend
and hibernation, however, if I could use it, I would use it. Why should
it damage a SSD? The most grotesque claims I read about anything that
hast got to do with SSDs are about read/write cycles. "Don't read and
especially don't write, it will shorten the lifespan of your SSD!"
Actually I'm using read and writeable media to read and write data.
Don't drive your car, driving shorten its lifespan ;).
