[xubuntu-users] xubuntu-users Digest, Vol 137, Issue 5

I did update from Aktualisieren which offered to upgrade to xubuntu 18.04 .

Believed that beeing the safest mode to get to 18.04. The system booted
in 18.04 and showed the wanted desktop. But it is impossibel to update
to a recent kernel (4.15.23).
dpkg refuses to accept and remove the older kernels.  Even to try to
remove them with synaptic fails because dpkg is somehow involved.
Any idea?
