[xubuntu-users] RTL8821CE Driver and apt-offline

Hi,
I've just installed Xubuntu 20.04 on my laptop's second partition.
My laptop's wireless adapter is RTL8821CE, which requires drivers to be
built from source using sources from https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce.
Building it from source requires some packages to be installed first,
namely: linux kernel headers, dkms and build-essential.
I was hoping to use apt-offline (
https://docs.xubuntu.org/current/user/C/offline-packages.html) to install
the said packages but realized that it is no longer available on Xubuntu
20.04 (google'd the reason and found out that it depends on Python 2 which
is also no longer available in the new release).
Does anyone have any suggestion on how I can get around these issues?
Cheers,
Earl
