    hasn't existed for a long time (pre-udev).
  * scripts/plugininstall.py: Remove fallback creation of
    /etc/network/interfaces. The ifupdown package already creates one, it
    is not necessary to have a (quasi-)empty file, and desktop systems use
    NetworkManager instead of ifupdown.
