OK, that's good to know.  I suspect the resulting http stream is
therefore just totally broken, but if you'd like to help confirm this,
you could run

tcpdump -w /tmp/dump 'host 131.204.22.100'

or whatever's appropriate for that machine.

It may be that we can work around this brokenness...

For such things I usually run a vpn client so that all the work of
dealing with its flakiness is done by openvpn.
