Emma, don't loose patience with our er.. vigorous feedback ;-)
I hope our target audience is not an army of clones. Their hardware,
needs and preferences are going to be varied, and the front-page should
be comfortable for all.
Perhaps a compromise would be to use properties min-width and max-width
to ensure an adaptive formatting within reasonable limits.
