0.4.0 is a safer choice and fixes a number of bugs and performance
issues.

They should install to both locations so you'll probably end up using
the manually installed one.

Probably, since otherwise you might end up using the wrong binaries if
you use the dulwich command-line tools.

Please note that Dulwich is being maintained primarily in Bazaar (not
git), on http://people.samba.org/bzr/jelmer/dulwich/trunk
