Who told you such lies about the battery applet? :)

Seriously, though.  I'm working on trying to fix it now, but it's not going
well.  The weird thing is that it doesn't crash -- it exits cleanly via the
exit_group() syscall with a return value of 1.  I can't for the life of me get
gdb to breakpoint just before it exits though, so I can't get a traceback of
what is causing it to call exit().
