Summary: Environment Variables from ~/.profile ignored
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gnome-desktop
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: jvuyl2t02 at sneakemail.com
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Environment variables set in ~/.profile and ~/.bash_profile are ignored in the
Gnome desktop environment if the Gnome-session is launched by GDM.
This behaviour is the same like in Debian.
But in Fedora Core 4 and FreeBSD it works.
