The issue with your description is that "unexpected behaviour" "strange behaviour" are not describing anything. It's easier to understand few steps described:
"- press ctrl
- click on 1 then 2 then 3 then 1 then 2 then 3 then 1
...
when clicking on 1 everything is unselected, only 1 should be changed"

Anyway your issue doesn't happen on my box, marking as unconfirmed maybe somebody else will get it. Do you use the browser or spatial mode? Do you use icons or list mode?
