Yes, you're totally right... I realized a few minutes ago that it was caused by a rogue version of libwcnk (coming from the beryl repository: http://www.compiz.info/patches/libwnck/)...
(I'm trying to debug it actually because it's still useful for the beryl community...)

My bad... (though I didn't open the bug ;)
