Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/36785
Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
gdmsetup version 2.14.0-0ubuntu does not allow the enabling of remote
logins.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open System > Administration > Login Window
2. In the 'Remote' tab, change the style to 'Same as Local' or anything
other than 'Remote login Disabled'
3. Close gdmsetup.
Expected Results:
gdm accepts remote logins after restarting.
Actual Results:
Remote logins don't work. /etc/gdm.conf is unchanged. If gdm.conf-custom
doesn't exist, it isn't created. If it exists, it isn't changed.
Furthermore, opening gdmsetup again shows 'Style' as 'Remote login
disabled'.
There is no unusual output when gdmsetup is run from a terminal.
