[Bug 94218] gnome-cups-add takes ages to load

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-cups-manager

As reported in #39604 and elsewhere, gnome-cups-add is very slow.  For
example, on my current test install (feisty beta 20070320.1 desktop
install) it takes over 20 seconds.

It is good that a progress dialogue is displayed but IMO this is not a
complete fix.  The performance should be improved.
