# Moving the meeting times

Per request from Utkarsh, we re-evaluated the meeting times and
unanimously agreed to move the meeting times as announced in
Utkarsh's previous email [1]

# Change of meeting format

## Outcomes

Going forward, meetings will happen on Google Meet.

Meetings will be transcribed using the Gemini transcription service
and published.

Applicants may request a text-only fallback. For the time being, this
fallback will be IRC; once Matrix has grown a meeting bot, the
applicant may choose.

## Minutes

Utkarsh moved to change the meeting format away from the classic
IRC meeting, which has many cons:

- Few people have attended for a while
- Meeting is really really slow
- Lot of wait period for answers
  - Sometimes answering question before last question
- People in DMB also wear different hats, so we multitask
  - People have to be reminded that the DMB meeting is ongoing (pinged)

It was also observed that applicants have prepared answers for usual questions,
but struggle with unusual questions. They prepare with what has been asked
in the past.

Utkarsh proposed to move the meeting to a video call to get more done
in less time. Several points of contention were discussed and addressed
as previously described in the outcomes:

- Some meetings should be held in text form for accessibility reasons,
like every 8th week or so

- Logging/Transparency. Should we record videos? Concerns were raised
about video recordings being more intimidating than text logs.

- The ability to prepare for a video meeting without recordings.
Particularly neurodiverse people might need to know what to expect
from a meeting to feel confident enough to join a meeting.

# Outstanding Contributing Developer applications

## Tim Anderson

Tim Anderson's application as a Contributing Developer was unanimously
accepted.

## Ravi Kant Sharma

Ravi Kant Sharmas's application as a Contributing Developer was unanimously
accepted.
