Title:
cancelling software update install causes a rescan and forgets my
selection
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: update-manager
I ran Software Update, deselected some packages, then pressed Install.
I cancelled the password request because I wanted to check again what packages were going to be installed.
Software Update needlessly spent time rescanning my system.
When it had finished, my selection had been forgotten: all items were selected again.
