This is more likely a bug in Xorg or the video driver, changing the
package appropriately.

Bug description:
  First attempt at running a live Lucid Alpha 3 CD (March 8 2010 Daily build) resulted in a black screen and monitor switching off.
  Seond attempt I incuded the nomodeset option and it booted fine. I then proceeded to install and verything went fine until it after retstarting. Upon reboot, no splash and the monitor switches to sleep mode. Just a Black screen. I can switch to another VT. Tried restarting X but nothing. Tried sudo apt-get update, upgrade and dist-upgrade. Still the same.
