[Bug 976588] Re: package linux-image-2.6.32-41-generic 2.6.32-41.88 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

The reason for removing grub2 was to attempt to load Lucid ( a fresh
install) onto my external drive to diagnose why my iPhone no longer mounts.
It has the dreaded iOS 5 on there and up until recently it mounted and was
visible. Long story short, I am desperate to get my music and other data
back on my phone using Ubuntu ONLY. As linux users I believe we have the
right to choose what operating systems we use and should not be "forced"
into buying/ using products we don't need or want.
If you could help at all, I would be grateful if you could.
Sincerely, Kurt Dupuis
