Title:
Package operation failed: bzr whoami not set for etckeeper

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

If Update-Manager does an update which will cause etckeeper to do a commit, Update-Manager says that there was a Package Operation Fail. etckeeper works fine if I run an update from the command line (since bzr whoami is set)

See screenshot of error message with pertinent part.
