I observed this in person. The problem seems to be that there are two
rdnssd processes hanging around; kill those and the installation
proceeds. Installations that don't go via "Retry network
autoconfiguration" don't have this problem.

Bug description:
The following is the step to reproduce,
1. Make sure the ethternet cable is unplugged
2. Start the installation
3. Follow the onscreen instructions untill the 'Network autoconfiguration failed' message appears
4. At this point insert the ethernet cable and select 'Retry network autoconfiguration' (the autoconfiguration this time should succeed)
5. Enter the host name and press enter
6. At this point there will be a blank screen and the installation hangs

Recovery:
Restart the installation after inserting the ethernet cable
