Started working after I commented the auto-login line in lightdm.conf.
Sorry, but I haven't made new installations since.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  The only way to disable it was manual editing lightdm.conf and commenting auto-login line. After that I could enable/disable auto-login.
  Ubuntu 12.10 32 bits new installation.
