the problem remains for me. I think the issue is SONY VIAO laptop internal WebCAM. Anyone can suggest a driver?
The model of the laptop is SONY VIAO VGN-FJ290P, it's a Pentium M 1.81 GHz, 1.5G RAM, Intel 915GM chipset and integrated video.

Bug description:
  Downloaded 11.10 release. made a USB live edition. The install process
  stops at the 'Chose a picture' screen as the proceed button, I
  presume, is off screen i.e below by 575 pixel vertical resolution.
